Rodger Hayes 2006 - 2007 Bowler
of the Year |

The
Oconee Bowling Association is pleased to recognize Rodger Hayes as
the 2006-2007 Bowler of the Year. Rodger has distinguished himself
by having a 200 or better average in three leagues. This year he has
served a President of the Wednesday Night Mixed League,
Vice-President of the Tuesday Night Industrial League, represented
our local association at the state meeting and was re-elected to the
local association board of directors until 2009. Because of Rodger’s
accomplishments both on the lanes and contributions to our sport and
association off the lanes, it is with great pride that we recognize
him as our 2006-2007 Bowler of the Year. |

James Fud Cater 2006 - 2007
Senior Bowler of the Year |

The
Oconee Bowling Association is pleased to recognize James Fud Cater
as the 2006-2007 Senior Bowler of the Year.
Along in the late 60’s James “Fud” Cater ventured out of Newry and
found Oconee Lanes and a sport he still enjoys. Fud has served as
league officer of several leagues and is presently a director on the
Oconee BA Board. He is currently a member of the Monday Night Church
League and has a perfect game to his credit. Fud is one of our
members who is fortunate to have a son (Austin) who bowls in the
league with him. Because of Fud's accomplishments both on the lanes
and contributions to our sport and association off the lanes. it is
with great pride that we recognize him as our 2006-2007 Senior Bowler of the Year. |

Pete Thoma 2006 - 2007
Secretary of the Year |
|
On
April 16, 2007 the Oconee Bowling Association presented Pete Thoma
with the 2006-2007 Secretary of the Year Award. Pete began bowling
in the Monday Night Church League during the 1990-1991 season. The
following season, he was elected secretary and has served in that
capacity for 16 years. Not only does Pete fulfill the duties of
secretary, but also organizes the end of the season bowling party
for the kids from the churches. This year over 220 people attended
the party. In addition, Pete conducts tournaments within the league
each year, has multiple prize nights and this year coordinated a
toys for tots drive through the league. For these reasons and much
more, the Oconee Bowling Association is proud to recognize Pete Thoma as the Secretary of the Year for the 2006-2007 season.

Allen Jones 2006 -2007
Director of the Year |

The
Oconee Bowling Association is pleased to recognize Allen Jones as
the 2006-2007 Director of the Year. During the 2006-2007 bowling
season, Allen has served as a member of the Publicity committee of
the Oconee Bowling Association. He designed, developed, and
maintains the official web site for the Oconee Bowling Association.
Because of his contributions with the web site, participation in
association events, and willingness to meet monthly for the
promotion of our sport and association, it is with great pride that
we recognize him as our 2006-2007 Director of the Year. |
