John
“Tonto” Hunter 2007 -2008
Director of the Year |
|
On
April 29, 2008 the Oconee Bowling Association officially announced
the recipient of the 2007-2008 Director of the Year Award. John
“Tonto” Hunter was recognized as the Director of the Year. John
Hunter was always the first person to volunteer to help with a
tournament, run a half & half, and always gave far more of himself
to his team, league, association, and sport than he ever wanted to
get back. John served our association as the Sergeant-at-Arms and on
numerous committees. John did not just sit on the board, he
contributed greatly, with suggestions and ideas. It is with the
greatest honor and pleasure that we recognize John “Tonto” Hunter as
our Director of the Year for 2007-2008. We will also name the
Director Award of the Year Award in the future in Honor of John. We
will only award the Director of the Year award to someone who goes
far and above the duties of being a director, just like John always
did. Even though John is not with us today, we will always remember
and honor him. Thank you, Tonto for all you did for us and may we
honor you with this award. Diana Hunter accepted the award for
"Tonto". |
